Fetal Heart Rate Monitor

FORGOT to tell you about my latest purchase. A fetal Heart Monitor. I will get to hear BB's heart beat ANY time I want to. I may even bring it to school! I think some of my girls at school would love that. They are all dieing to know the sex. Every day they ask me when I am going to find out. Like somehow I need a reminder every day my next appt is March 23rd at 1:00. I say it everyday. AHHHH I need to know pink or blue.... pink or blue. I know some of you out there would prefer to wait till actual birth day to make it more special and a surprise. I hate surprises I like to know now! Well I don't hate surprises, sorry that was a lie, I only hate them if I know there will be a surprise because I think about it constantly.

I think waiting for a baby till birth day is plenty enough. My school work has suffered because I have baby on the brain. I have already started a Target registry but am limited to what to get because I just don't know all what I need yet. I don't want to get all GREEN or YELLOW items, I will need to wait for the blue or pink. I have been googling birth stories. I haven't decided about a birth plan yet. I know I don't want a cesarean. I am a wimp when it comes to surgery and can see myself having a panic attack right there on the table. The only real surgery I have had was tonsils and that is something I NEVER need to go through again. (FYI I think my spell check on here is broken, sorry, I am horrible, I know) So the decision is to whether or not to have an epiderial or not and honestly I don't know if I will be able to make that choice until my actual water breaks. Some of these birth stories are a bit scary and freaking me out. I think I need to stop reading them for a while.

I realized last week that I am going to need to know how to care for this child after it comes out of me so along with reading What to Expect When Your Expecting I have been reading What to Expect The First Year. I have tons of babysitting experience but never cared for a newborn. I started to have a minor freak out when I didn't know at what point do you start introducing baby food and solids or when should BB start crawling. Goodness, I need to baby proof this place. I think I am going to go buy some more books I have a lot to learn. I will be surrounded by family that will give me their input but I would like to educate myself on what to do!

Voyager of the Seas(15 days till departure)

Anyways, Fetal Heart Rate Monitor please hurry up in the US Mail, I would like to take you on my cruise with me! With this nifty tool I will be able to record the heart beat onto the computer and post it on here! So I hope this puppy works!

bump update

14 weeks 2 days

Well ladies and gentleman nausea has diminished. I only gag now when I brush my teeth. And when I had to clean up after Sophie's potty breaks.... but that is normal. I haven't gotten any crazy boosts of energy but definitely feel lots better! Which means I am probably going to have to do my part of the household chores again... I am looking into a cleaning service. It would help to keep up with the place if someone come and do a crazy deep down clean. Is this me being lazy? YES.

According to the sites BB (Baby Bilski) is the size of my fist. I should know now because nothing fits! I don't want to go spend money on clothes right now because I want to save it for the cruise in 2 weeks! Arms are lengthening so they can punch my in the ribs later down the road. Ears are in place and eyes are squinting. BB is urinating which creates the fluid s/he floats around in, nice.

Ryan, myself, and some great friends went bowling on Friday. We had a great time. Work has been stressful as ever but I am determined to survive until spring break. After that I am counting down the days to Easter. After that summer!!!!!

My Most Active Saturday Since November

Well, I believe I am starting to feel better in the nausea department. Still dreadfully tired all the time. All week I kept telling myself I was going to do something Friday night. Unfortunately, as soon as I got home I was in the recliner and was out till 7. I ate half a sandwich, watched a movie on tv and was out again. Sometimes I just need sleep.

This morning Ryan and I went to Teverna's on 2nd in Austin for a Valentines Breakfast. I hate going anywhere nice because I know I wont be able to eat most of my meal. I used to go there quite often with Ryan and friends for their happy hour type brunch. They would have five dollar bottomless mimosas and belinis. There were many afternoon hangovers from this place. I noticed on the menu they are no longer having this great deal, though the drinks are a dollar each now.

Ryan ate a shrip and asparagus omlete with fresh sqeezed orange juice. I had a classic eggs benedict and a decaf latte. I also had it for lunch. We were going to walk around down town for a little bit but it was a bit chilly and I did not dress accordingly. We took some detours around town and eventually made it back home.

I took a four hour nap which was much needed after our morning adventure. Ryan went and worked out during this time and watched the UT basketball game.

We went up to the outlets and walked around a bit. I bought some new shoes and stretchy expandable shirts. We were looking for some suits for Ryan for our cruise but decided to hold off on that for a couple weeks. We ate dinner and Jason's deli and now I am going to lay in bed and watch tv to recover from this last outing. For you active people this may seem like a dull and restful day. For me, it has wipped me out. Sweet Dreams.

There is 29 days till we set sail on our cruise over spring break. We are very excited for a new adventure!

Here is a three month mini baby bumb picture. Please excuse the messy hair and no make up, I had just woken up. My puppy also wanted to take part in our photo session.

Preggo Updates: TUMS is my new bff

I have almost been as bad of a blogger as I am a friend right now. I have been consumed with my own happenings I haven't spent time or talked with all the special people in my life! I hope I can do better!

I have made it to 3 months! 12 pounds later myself and my baby are still alive. I should stop eating, I am not suppose to gain more than 5 in the first trimester you say??!! Well that is the problem I can't eat and have lost 12 pounds! However my pants still don't fit around the waist! Apparently everything is being rearranged in there. Maybe why I felt so nauseated for the last 8 weeks. Ryan says he never sees me because I am sleeping. I have always needed lots of sleep so now staying up till 9 is a real chore.

Funny things about pregnancy that aren't TMI: I will be deathly starving all of sudden and it just wont go away. As soon as I have food in front of me and I take a couple bites I am absolutely revolted by the meal and full to the brim. Food aversions: chocolate. So sad, not even a Hersey Kiss... ugh my stomach just turned.

I feel that I am slowly able to eat more and the nauseousness is lessening. Unfortunately a new symptom has crept up on me this last week: indigestion. Last night Taco Bell was not the best choice. I suffered all evening, night, and morning. We learn from our mistakes. Today something as simple as a Root Beer. Does this mean no more soda? So unfair, first no Mexican Martinis (I miss you) and now soda. I have never been a good water drinker...

Baby Brain is getting worse. I keep walking somewhere at home or school and forget to bring the papers I was going to make copies of or walk into the bedroom and stare, hopefully I will realize what I am doing. Twice I have taken the dog out to pee and completely forgot her leash... not good in a busy apt complex. Ohhh the hope for a backyard eventually....

Here is a little copy and past of what is happening with this incubator I have become:

The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Non- preg news:

Work is EXTREMELY stressful right now. Reading TAKS test in 2 weeks- my life will be much easier after that. I miss summer.

Ryan's grandfather had surgery on his hip yesterday after a bad fall that broke some bones. He seems to be recovering alright, he is in our prayers.

Sophie turns 1 year old at the end of the month.... should we have a doggie b-day party?

Hope this finds everyone well! Lets pray for spring weather... no more cold!

Complaining

This post is dedicated to my grumpiness.

For the past four or five weeks I have had this feeling like I need to barf but never do. I have been walking around like a zombie even though I am taking naps every day and going to bed at 9. I cant seem to go back to sleep after my bladder forces me up at 2 or 4 am (depending on what time I go to bed). Every weekend has been bed ridden and the thought of having to get up and even take a shower is exhausting. I have lost 6 pounds in the last month. I have fallen way behind in my share of the household chores such as picking up after myself, cooking, and grocery shopping. I can't eat a full meal. I will be deathly starving one moment and take two bits and feel like I need to barf. I am not liking this first trimester thing. I need to be 12/14 weeks fast. I am not sure how much longer Ryan or I will last.

POSITIVE SIDE OF THIS
Of course, there is the bundle of joy at the end. I have had a couple of teaser days here and there where I think I am feeling great and have energy and can eat. But by the time it is evening hope has disappeared.

Here is to the future Baby Bilski!
