Yesterday was a long and trying day traveling to Brenham for Grandma Bilski's funeral services. I have to say that St. Mary's did a wonderful job. A topic came up between Ryan and I yesterday that made me think a little bit. Do the priests get used to conducting services, have the been desensitized by being around it more than your average Joe? I don't know how they do it, death, to me isn't something to easily get used to.
After Ryan and I got home we decided that a midnight showing of The Dark Knight would be a nice conclusion for a sad day. I will not spoil anything, but I was thoroughly amazed. I was a little worried that I would fall asleep in the movie, not ending till 2:45! But much to my dismay I was more awake than when the movie started! I want to apologize to God and the people sitting around me because every time I jumped (which happened often) I yelled "Jesus." That is not ok. I need to learn some restraint.These are definitely not the kiddie Bat Man movies I was raised on! "Let me show you a magic trick, now you see the pencil, now you don't".......ugh! Also, I could of sworn I heard, The Joker/Heath Ledger, laugh in my sleep... creepy. Ryan and I are in awe and I want to see it again!!!!
For today Ryan said it best, "I feel like I was up all night drinking." You know your getting old when just staying up late makes you feel like you have a hang over. I even slept in till 10:30! I will probably be lazy for the rest of day. At 2:00 is Sophie's last round of puppy boosters and we get to go to the DOG PARK!!! Should be interesting!
