In Loving Memory.....

On Monday Ryan's grandmother, Grandma Bilski, passed away. She has been suffering from Colon Cancer. I have only known her for a short time but have learned a lot. I have been praying for her and family the last few weeks as we have known that this would be coming soon. We had a scare in May when Grandma Bilski had a blood clot in her leg and since become increasingly weak. Ryan and I had a chance to visit her in Brenhem two weeks ago. Her funeral is Thursday at 2:oo. She has been very involved in Ryan's life, he spent many summers in Brenhem growing up. I know this difficult for Ryan, but he knows that she is now longer suffering or in pain and celebrates her life.

Going through this makes me think of my wonderful Grandma ( Dad's Mom) who passed away when I was in forth grade. I spent a lot of time with her, especially after she moved in with us when I was in the third grade. I wish that I got to have her around a long time. As a ten year old I wasn't able to appreciate how special and important she was. Both of my grandfathers passed away around kindergarten and first grade and do not remember much about them, but get to hear the stories from my parents. My Grammie (Mom's mom) is a very strong women who helps take care of my three cousins. I am lucky to have her in my life.
