I have almost been as bad of a blogger as I am a friend right now. I have been consumed with my own happenings I haven't spent time or talked with all the special people in my life! I hope I can do better!
I have made it to 3 months! 12 pounds later myself and my baby are still alive. I should stop eating, I am not suppose to gain more than 5 in the first trimester you say??!! Well that is the problem I can't eat and have lost 12 pounds! However my pants still don't fit around the waist! Apparently everything is being rearranged in there. Maybe why I felt so nauseated for the last 8 weeks. Ryan says he never sees me because I am sleeping. I have always needed lots of sleep so now staying up till 9 is a real chore.
Funny things about pregnancy that aren't TMI: I will be deathly starving all of sudden and it just wont go away. As soon as I have food in front of me and I take a couple bites I am absolutely revolted by the meal and full to the brim. Food aversions: chocolate. So sad, not even a Hersey Kiss... ugh my stomach just turned.
I feel that I am slowly able to eat more and the nauseousness is lessening. Unfortunately a new symptom has crept up on me this last week: indigestion. Last night Taco Bell was not the best choice. I suffered all evening, night, and morning. We learn from our mistakes. Today something as simple as a Root Beer. Does this mean no more soda? So unfair, first no Mexican Martinis (I miss you) and now soda. I have never been a good water drinker...
Baby Brain is getting worse. I keep walking somewhere at home or school and forget to bring the papers I was going to make copies of or walk into the bedroom and stare, hopefully I will realize what I am doing. Twice I have taken the dog out to pee and completely forgot her leash... not good in a busy apt complex. Ohhh the hope for a backyard eventually....
Here is a little copy and past of what is happening with this incubator I have become:
The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.
Non- preg news:
Work is EXTREMELY stressful right now. Reading TAKS test in 2 weeks- my life will be much easier after that. I miss summer.
Ryan's grandfather had surgery on his hip yesterday after a bad fall that broke some bones. He seems to be recovering alright, he is in our prayers.
Sophie turns 1 year old at the end of the month.... should we have a doggie b-day party?
Hope this finds everyone well! Lets pray for spring weather... no more cold!
